Summer Wind

Still here, playing around with the ukulele and singing sad songs for some reason. 6 months ago I had a baby, (which I'll go ahead and use as an excuse for infrequent uploads). I'd like to learn some more lullabies or other songs that she can enjoy listening to and eventually singing along with, but I'm not sure where to start. What non-obnoxious songs did you really enjoy as a kid?

Desperado

If there's one kind of singer I really envy, it's those who can belt it out from somewhere deep in their gut. Believe it or not, I'm really trying to amp it up here. But, you know, baby steps...

I Can See Clearly Now

Apartment hunting the last month or so has been really rough. Finally, last week we found something just in time to get our stuff out and clean the old place from top to bottom. Let's just say it was a physically taxing week. But now I'm chilling at my parents' for a few days, everything is taken care of for the moment, and it feels very much like the metaphorical rain has departed.

This is my first recording with chunking... not sure if I'm doing it quite right.

Edelweiss

Somehow I didn't get in any really good hikes this summer and am now longing for mountaintops - a situation that can still be remedied, I hope. It's a shame to have missed the wildflowers, though.
