Edelweiss

Somehow I didn't get in any really good hikes this summer and am now longing for mountaintops - a situation that can still be remedied, I hope. It's a shame to have missed the wildflowers, though.

Blue Shadows

I may not have the vocal range of a Ned Nederlander, but that will never stop me from singing Blue Shadows.

How Can I Keep From Singing

My voice is not of the performing kind (I like to think it was made for lullabies), but I sure do love to sing. Something else I love: this song. You can find the chords here.

I Often Go Walking

Among my mom's many amazing qualities is this: the ability, after 60+ years on the planet, to exclaim over the leaves every Fall with the eyes and heart of a young woman. As a teenager, this made me roll my eyes more than once... but she was so right. For that and a million other reasons, this one's for you, Mom. Happy Mother's Day!

One of her favorites: 'I Often Go Walking' from the LDS Children's Songbook. I'm just getting into fingerpicking and let's just say I've got a lot of practicing to do.
